MY REVIEW
James Dashner’s The Infinite Glade slams the door shut on his Maze Cutter trilogy—and it doesn’t go quietly. Seventy-three years after The Death Cure, the world is still broken, still burning, and still haunted by the Maze.
The story opens with no mercy. Minho, the last Glader who refuses to bow, is beaten and dragged through the ruins. Every breath is a fight. Meanwhile, Isaac, Ximena, Frypan, and Sadina leave their island safety and step straight into a nightmare. They march through storms, forests set ablaze, and finally into the dark belly of the Sequencers—an underground society that tests, twists, and terrifies.
Dashner cuts the action fast. Short chapters whip between characters, keeping you off balance. Isaac trembles under the weight of grief. Ximena clutches the Cure like it could explode in her hands. Alexandra whispers and lies, pushing herself closer to goddesshood. And Minho? He grits his teeth and repeats one line like a prayer: My name is Minho.
The world they wander is cruel and strange—lakes stained red, auroras flaring like warnings, creatures lurking in the dark. But the scariest thing isn’t the Grievers or the armies. It’s the way trust crumbles. Friends turn on each other. Lies feel safer than truth. And no one is ever sure who will still be alive on the next page.
By the time the paths collide in the Maze, it’s clear this isn’t just another survival story. It’s a reckoning—about memory, power, and who gets to decide the future. Dashner doesn’t hand out easy answers. The ending is fierce, brutal, and strangely hopeful.
The Infinite Glade isn’t just a finale. It’s a punch in the gut, a breath held too long, and a reminder that some mazes never really end.

Determined to save their friends, Isaac and Ximena—along with Old Man Frypan and Jackie—struggle to find their way back to the others when two strangers intercept them, throwing everything they thought they knew about the Cure into doubt. Following the strangers into the unknown, Frypan unearths the shocking truth behind the Cure and the secrets so many have died to protect. But what they uncover is only the beginning.
The descendants must decide between risking their lives and the safety of those they love back home to expose the painful truth behind the maze trials, or walk away from history’s darkest secrets and let the truth remain buried in the Glade forever.
