The event takes place around World UFO Day each year

Today we’re heading to New Mexico for one of America’s most unusual celebrations: the Roswell UFO Festival. As a lifelong fan of space, stars, and cosmic mysteries, it’s exactly the kind of event that catches my attention. (If your child shares that fascination, you can find my children’s book here.)

Held each July, the event celebrates the famous 1947 Roswell Incident and attracts thousands of curious visitors, alien enthusiasts, photographers, and travelers from around the world.

Expect alien costumes, UFO-themed parades, guest speakers, food trucks, live music, and plenty of opportunities for memorable photos. Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic, it’s hard not to have fun.
