As you may know, April was Sexual Assault Awareness Month. A walk across the Brooklyn Bridge happened on April 29th + Brooklyn Fashion Week was there championing the cause. The walk was a way to spread awareness of a serious problem + take a stand against Domestic Violence.
The time has come. We are in April, which is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. That means you can do something to stand up for a cause you believe in. Domestic Violence is rampant throughout the world. Show your support April 29th + walk across Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall with tons of other fashionistas, bloggers, celebrities, students + designers. Take a photo of yourself in your denim outfit + use the hashtags #DenimDay #DenimDayNYC #FWBK. Fashion Week Brooklyn is championing the cause in New York. Fashion Week Brooklyn selected 2 designers last year to show on the runway in New York for their annual fashion show. Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University graduate Laduma Ngxokolo was one of the designers chosen to show his collection Buyel’mbo from his range “MaXhosa by Laduma”.
