Light up your life, look for starlit moments!
Flew into NOLA for a wedding this past weekend, and couldn’t help fall in love with these moody lanterns at the Bayou Beer Garden – a cottage-turned-sports-bar in the heart of Mid-City, which is situated just to the northeast of downtown New Orleans.

Here’s a fun traditional NOLA punch for your own event – “Not Your Mother’s Lemonade” (30 calories a cup!)
This punch is super simple – makes 1 gallon 🙂
- 1 cup vodka
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice fresh squeezed
- 3 tablespoons lime juice fresh squeezed
- 1 cup Pomegranate Juice OR Cranberry Juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 cups sparkling pink lemonade or regular or lite lemonade, flavored sparkling water, Sprite or lemon-lime soda
- Ice for serving
- lemon wedge garnish, or use fresh strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, wheel of lime, sprig of mint or thyme.
