A Day In Seattle

If you have a day (or a weekend) to spend in Seattle, these are my top 8 recommendations for solo travelers who want to get their fix of the Pacific Northwest!

MoPop Seattle’s Fantasy Land!

A fantasy exhibit at the Museum of Popular Culture in Seattle has me enthralled! Definitely one for the bucket list, you can pet a dragon, take photos on a throne, check out weaponry from Lord of the Rings and see costumes from the likes of Harry Potter and more!

Suspended in a Vampire’s Lair

Is it a coincidence I was watching “Dracula” – the 2020 drama-horror Netflix television serial developed by Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, when I ended up in Seattle and found this exhibit which is all about cinematic terror and the unsettling emotions it brings about in us (and which we love, apparently). Take a peek inside MoPop, Seattle’s art museum exclusively dedicated to all things pop culture and their infamous “Scare Exhibit”, not for the faint of hearted!

A Technicolor Experience at MoPop Seattle

Take an intergalactic journey as you explore iconic sci-fi artifacts. More than 150 artifacts from iconic films and television shows, “Infinite Worlds of Science Fiction” invites you to experience the incredible range of storytelling found in science fiction: from Star Trek to H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds, from big-budget Men in Black to the Philip K. Dick-inspired Blade Runner to the Battlestar Galactica series.
