Today’s recipe for MyTaste is melt-in-your-mouth cholocate crunchies.
225 g butter
250 ml sugar
30 ml syrup
500 ml oats
500 ml coconut
500 ml flour
25 ml cocoa
10 ml baking powder
60 g butter
500 ml icing sugar, sifted
60 ml cocoa, sifted
30 ml evaporated milk
5 ml vanilla essence
Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a baking pan.
Melt butter, sugar and syrup together in a saucepan.
Mix the dry ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
Add the melted butter and syrup.
Press into baking pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes
Combine all ingredients for icing and beat very well.
Smooth icing over top of crunchies when cool.
Cut into squares.
