MY REVIEW
There is no way to be a perfect parent, but a million ways to be a good one. — Jill Churchill
As someone with twin cousins who have cerebral palsy, I’ve seen firsthand how tough and emotional the journey through disabilities can be — not just for the kids, but for the whole family. But I’ve also seen how much joy, love, and strength they bring into our lives, and how every struggle is more than worth it! That’s why “Hope For Moms” by Anna McArthur hit so close to home for me.
“Hope for Moms” is a heartfelt, comforting, and refreshingly honest guide for any mother navigating the messy, beautiful, and often overwhelming journey of parenthood.
Author Anna McArthur masterfully weaves her personal stories — from parenting through learning disabilities, adoption, and LGBTQ+ identities — into a comforting voice that offers reassurance and guidance to readers who may be feeling isolated or uncertain.
Structured around a simple but powerful triage system of Yes, No, and Maybe, the book offers real-world advice, soulful reflection questions, and plenty of humor along the way.
McArthur’s ability to be both vulnerable and encouraging makes you feel like you’re sitting with a wise, funny friend who truly understands the highs and lows of motherhood. Her honesty about mistakes, resilience, and letting go of unrealistic expectations is incredibly validating.
“Hope for Moms“ is not just a parenting book — it’s a survival guide for the heart, full of wisdom, grace, and genuine hope. Highly recommended for any mom who needs a reminder that yes, it’s tough out there — but so are you!
