Tried something different on a night out in Hamburg: mushroom carpaccio with almond flakes and micro herbs

Came across Whisky Plaza, a classic bar and bistro tucked into Hamburg’s old city center. It’s known for its 400+ whiskies and cozy, amber-lit tables. I tried the beef filet with broccolini and truffle sauce, paired with a local Belgian whisky sour. The dish that was the most novel to me was the mushroom carpaccio – really enjoyed it! Couldn’t believe the place has been open since 2003 and draws both travelers and collectors for its tasting flights and unusual dishes. The cheese board—with pear, fig jam, and walnuts—was also good.
