Fashion Week Brooklyn Welcomes SA Designers
Two South African Fashion Designers recently showcased their skills in New York at the 8th edition of the Fashion Week Brooklyn. This participation was made possible by the “Yebo Msanzi” – an exchange program between MyArts International, a South African-based MICE Company, and the Brooklyn Style Foundation, organizers of the show.

‘Art Meets Fashion’ Event in Brooklyn
This weekend I attended a fabulous fashion event in Brooklyn called Art Meets Fashion, which was an awesome evening held at Industry City, Sunset Park, Brooklyn. AMF is an International exhibit which includes fashion influenced artwork, sculpture and video installations created by 40+ artists from NYC, Brazil, Italy, Africa, Hong Kong and Spain.

I had a wonderful shoot with photographer John Tona this weekend in Central Park. It was the first time I’ve ever been shot on real film and I’m so excited to see how the pictures come out! For a moment I felt like I was back in Old Hollywood 🙂 He shot on a Mamiya RZ67 PRO ii.
In class with someone famous :)
I’m so thrilled to be in class in New York with well-known soapie star Jorge Consejo, who is most famous for his roles on various TV soap operas in Mexico on the “Telemundo” Network. It’s such a pleasure working with him in class – I’m learning a lot! Now he is moving to New York…
