The famous carousel bar in NOLA

Here’s how I spent a week in New Orleans, mixing wedding festivities with my quest for starlit spots and magic:

  1. Kicked off my adventure with a palm reading in the French Quarter, where the mystic vibes were palpable.
  2. Checked into Hotel Monteleone, a legendary haunt on the list of most historic hotels in America. Its old-world charm made it the perfect base for my enchanting escapade.
  3. Sipped champagne at the Carousel Bar, which actually revolves as you enjoy your drink! Talk about a magical experience.
  4. Couldn’t resist picking up some voodoo doll toys for my friends, including a special one for the goddess of bingo. Who knew voodoo could be so modern?!
  5. Delved into the world of Louisiana oysters, indulging in a few fresh catches from local vendors. They were as briny and delicious as they come.
  6. Bourbon Street beckoned with its lively energy, and I couldn’t resist exploring the cigar shops that lined the iconic thoroughfare.
  7. Capped off my adventure by witnessing a solar eclipse, a rare celestial event that added an extra touch of magic to my time in NOLA.

Fun toy cigar voodoo doll, awesome souvenir for friends!

Watched the solar eclipse from a Hurricane bar on Bourbon street – an eclipse in the crescent city! It doesn’t get better than that!

Check out this quick video on the “Natchez” steam boat – book your cruise here.

The Natchez is an old-fashioned steamboat offering daytime, dinner and Sunday jazz cruises with buffet dining and jazz music!
