The Devonshire opened in 2023 on Denman Street in Soho and became an instant hit

The pub has gained attention for serving perfectly kept Guinness

London pub culture is less about drinking and more about ritual. It’s where conversations stretch for hours, where locals stand outside with pints even in winter, and where history hangs quietly on the walls. Many pubs date back centuries, some rebuilt after the Great Fire of 1666, others surviving the Blitz. You order at the bar, not the table, and no one rushes you out.

Covent Garden adds its own charm. Once London’s main fruit and vegetable market (from the 1600s until 1974), it’s now filled with historic pubs, street performers, and hidden courtyards. Fun fact: the Theatre Royal Drury Lane nearby is said to be one of London’s most haunted theatres.
