In New Zealand, carved pounamu pendants carry ancestral presence. In China, jade burial suits were believed to guard souls into eternity. In Egypt, the golden mask of Tutankhamun protected a young king beyond death. In Peru, Inca gold was revered as condensed sunlight. In Italy, the Holy Lance drew pilgrims for centuries. In Australia, sacred tjurunga stones embody Dreamtime ancestors.
