🧠 Mental health • 🌿 Slower living • 🏕️ Eco-travel • 📵 Digital detoxes

I found myself wondering what people around the world are talking about most right now. A short search later revealed a strange mix of anxiety, technology, exhaustion, and the search for meaning again.

Mental health remains one of the biggest global topics. More than 1 billion people are estimated to live with a mental health condition, while searches related to burnout, antidepressants, ADHD, therapy, and loneliness continue rising worldwide. The World Health Organization estimates that more than 1 billion people worldwide are living with a mental health condition, and anxiety and depression remain the most common.

More people are craving slower living, eco-travel, spirituality, nature escapes, and digital detoxes

At the same time, AI has exploded into everyday conversation. People are debating whether it will improve creativity and productivity or slowly replace jobs, relationships, and even parts of human identity itself.

Another major conversation is financial pressure. Rising housing costs, inflation, and economic uncertainty continue affecting millions of people, especially younger generations struggling to afford stable lifestyles.

27% of adults said they want to spend less time on devices while traveling

But interestingly, there’s an opposite trend emerging too. Forest cabins, eco-lodges, hiking trips, and quiet spaces are suddenly becoming part of the global conversation too. More people are craving slower living, eco-travel, spirituality, nature escapes, and digital detoxes.

“Tiny foods” and mini portions are trending globally because people are rethinking excess

  1. The digital detox was bound to happen. Especially during the season. Summer is here, plus, we get bored quick. Things have remain stagnant, especially with social media. It’s not as exciting as it use to be. I see why digital detox is happening. Things are fading and we are shifting to other activities outside of our phones.
